I came across this group from reading one of the Star Ocean mangas. I'm sure that's an old project, but there was a file along with it claiming this group needed staff. So, here I am! I'm fine with doing anything, but my strong point is grammar. I proofread like a god! I had an A in English class since middle school (since in elementary, there was only Grammar and Spelling class, which I also had constant As in). I'm currently in college, but for some reason, I'm not too busy. I'll be able to work on anything you want me to work on in my free-time. Just give me a deadline and I'll have whatever you need to you.
The only thing I couldn't do would be RAW provider, since I do not know where to find RAW mangas, nor do I own any Japanese-only mangas.
I've really only been studying Japanese for several months now, but I know full Hiragana, and I will begin learing Katakana (lastly, Kanji. Hiragana and Katakana are the most efficient to learn first, I guess). I don't think translating would really be my thing, though.
I've only been into anime and manga for over a year now, and I watch more anime than read manga. I think it'd be a nice experience to be able to help with a translation group, because I'll be exposed to more manga.
So, there you have it. That's my application.
Contact me via email, since that'll be more efficient. I check my email pretty regularly, but note that I do not have WiFi where I live. Also, my laptop is currently broken :/ My hard drive completely bummed out on me (after trying to install PS3 Sixaxis controller drivers, so I could use my PS3 controller on it <.<, so it's under repair right now. All I have to do is reinstall Vista, then reinstall W7 and it'll be good as new. It should be up and running by next week. Still, even with my laptop, I am not online much on the weekends. Throughout the week, however, I'm online quite a lot. I have a lot of time between various classes, and I don't work, so I spent that time online either doing homework or just goofing around.
