First off,
I'd like to thank project KuraiRyu for all the hard work and devotion. I understand that the translations you provide do not earn you near enough gratitude and I, for one, wish to extend a sincere thank you for your work.
I recently have become addicted to the Saiyuki series and absolutely love it. The anime does differ from the manga (as to be expected) but also falls short of it. The manga itself, however is also incomplete. I understand this to be the case in Japan as well. As far as I was able to research, the author had undergone some health issues but has recovered and is now continuing her series. Upon stumbling her blog, I was able to discover posts regarding new Saiyuki material dating this year (2012).
The most current translated material of the Saiyuki Reload Blast series I can find is from the Project KuraiRyu (thank you again) dating around 2010. As far as I can understand, Saiyuki is in no way an "unpopular" enough series to justify that no groups are translating it to date.
Can someone shed some light on the situation for me? Why have no groups picked up this project? Or perhaps a better question would be why has our lovely Project KuraiRyu discontinued the project?
I may be off on this altogether, I have brought my questions here as I have thoroughly researched this topic and am still left confused. If anyone can answer I would be sincerely thankful.
Thank you again Project KuraiRyu.
